ABC is looking for new stars for Rising Star via Instagram

In preparation for the highly anticipated premiere of “Rising Star”, American network ABC launched an social activation Instagram campaign that lets aspiring singers audition for the show via Instagram. The originally Israeli format recreates the traditional singing competition by letting the audience vote for the winner in real time using the show’s dedicated second-screen app.

From March 25 until April 30, 2014, solo singers, duos or groups can audition by creating a 15-second Instagram video. To submit their audition video, auditioners have to follow the official ABC “Rising Star” account on Instagram and message it, along with their email address in the caption, to the casting directors using Instagram Direct.

Apart from the audition via Instagram, talents can audition in person in selected cities all over the US or online by completing a registration form and including a link to a YouTube video of the performing. The new casting-show will premiere on June 22, 2014.
